Craft: Dog Bucket

Well, the dogs have destroyed or partially destroyed their dog toy basket. A very lovely basket that never did anything to them. I love these buckets. But they are very pricey.

This one at Ballard Design, $59.

Another cute one, $29

After a quick trip to Lowe's, $8

Whipped out my CricKut and leftover chalk board contact paper.

Add a ribbon.

I think it looks good. Let's see if they can chew through the galvanized metal.

  1. How cute! I've looked at all of those buckets before but thought they were too expensive. Now you can make some of the little mini trash cans that I've seen for food. :)

  2. It's amazing what you can come up with. My Mom had that problem with her little one she kept chewing up the wicker baskets so I had a wrought iron heart shaped basket setting on my patio that I hadn't ever done anything with, she spray painted it black and viola she has a dog toy basket that can't be eaten.

  3. Okay, you're pretty much a genius.

It reminds me of the little chairs my sister made in to dog food dish holders.

She found these small wooden children's school chairs from like a garage sale or something. She had my brother cut a hole in each seat and then she dropped a metal dog dish in to each chair. She sold the set for $75 at her garage sale. Yep, she did.

  6. What a great idea! Now if I could just train Barkley to pick up his toys and put them back in his toy basket....it looks like a daycare center most of the time in our home...toys everywhere! ~ xo Joy
