I love to dress the kids and dogs up to take photos… unfortunately, they don’t love it but the kids are kind enough to placate their momma.. I did carry them for nine months by the way, and the dogs, well, they have no choice.
Pretty picture right!!! Okay, so many people ask me how do you get the dogs to take such good pictures? It took approximately 67 takes to get three good pictures.
First, you have to get the dogs in the right place and put on their ears.
Then get every one looking in the right way… only the Old English is looking at the camera.
Next, put the ears back on the dog and get everyone to smile…. two out of four are smiling.
Okay, don’t get a headache… he is your dog and he will get it.
Okay, we have three out of four…. Only the Newfoundland is not cooperating. We are now making good progress.
Oh crap, he threw himself on the ground…we will work with it…
Everyone looking the right way… Clicking away. Nice picture everyone!!! Even the Newfoundland is looking at the camera!!
Moral of the story… take lots of pictures and be patient. You can get a great shot if you keep working at it and believe me it is worth it. Even the out takes are great.
